Katie's Graduation

We were up pretty high in the Marriott Center for the main graduation. Richard G. Scott gave the commencement address.

We went out to eat at the California Pizza Kitchen Friday after Convocation. We really enjoyed spending time with Jesse and Sarita and Joey and Katie.
Sarita put together a lovely baby shower for Katie the Saturday following graduation while we could be there as well as Katie's family.


This was a relay race where each participant has to hang an article of baby clothing on the line while holding a baby (doll) and a phone to her ear!

Family

We enjoyed our visit with Carly's family over the weekend. We weren't sure it would still be a good time to go after learning of their niece, Rachel's death last week, but they still wanted us to come. We all went to the family luncheon held at the church before the service on Saturday, then we took the kids home while Carly and Rich attended the funeral. Rich's family is always very warm and welcoming with us when we're there. It was a heartbreaking time for them, but their faith reassures them that God's timing has a purpose, and that they will be together again.
