The Rich Family: Meeting the Parents

This was the July before we got married. I took Charles home to meet my parents.

Our Story

Charles and Barbara have been married for 40 years and are now enjoying being "empty nesters"! They have 6 children and 26 grandchildren, who mean the world to them. Their family is spread out through Utah, Nevada, California, Texas, Hawaii, and Arizona and they take any chance they can to be with them.

Charles works as executive director of a youth and family services agency and also teaches Sunday School to teenagers. In his spare time he enjoys gardening, studying, & working out. Barbara is a local school board member and substitute teacher. Her hobbies include shopping/finding great deals, exercise/nutrition, family history work, bike riding, ministering, and her church calling in Stake Relief Society.

They have always liked to play Scrabble together when they have time, but for the past several years play an on-line version. Some of the kids tried their hand at it, but all have dropped out, leaving them to battle each other only.

They hope to use this blog to share important family events and pictures.
