SAN FRANCISCO

Here are a few pictures from our trip to San Francisco. Charles had a meeting Thursday afternoon, so invited me to go along and we stayed until Saturday. The hotel where we stay is right downtown, within walking distance of Union Square, Chinatown, and other sights.

The second day we were there we bought transportation passes so we could ride cable cars or buses wherever we wanted to go. I still love the trolley cars and never get tired of riding them up and down the hills. It's so much more fun than walking up and down them!

You can't really tell from this picture how big the Ross store on Market Street is. It's three stories, almost overwhelming.

This is for Jesse and Sarita, since we bought live lobsters in RI with them. Ours didn't cost quite this much!

This bird posed for us behind the Ferry Building.

This view of the Bay Bridge looked better in real life. I need a camera like Jesse's!

Fisherman's Wharf

This is for Grandsons. It was in the Ripley's museum (the free part). It's a giant guy made up of old car parts.

I never noticed the Duck tours in SF before. I thought it was just a Boston thing! We didn't go again, since one Duck tour in a month is probably enough.

We rode a bus all the way out to Lands End, at the Pacific Ocean. It was pretty cold, so we didn't walk all the way down to the beach, but enjoyed the view from above.

Of course you had to stop by Ross :) Looks like the weather was kind of cold, but I'm glad you had a nice trip!
