We got to see Joey's family for a few days in February, when they made a quick trip for President's Day weekend. They actually arrived the night before we got back from our trip to Napa, so got to settle in early.
Last time they came, Jackson really liked going to Scandia Amusement Park, so we did that again. We had no idea how much Daniel would like it too! He was not going to be left behind, and insisted on going on all the rides too.
Since we discovered Laguna Beach, and love it so much, Joey and Katie wanted to go there on Saturday. It was a very warm day- almost as warm as summer, so perfect. I had planned to swim, so when Joey said, "Let's go in", I was game. However, he dove in and immediately came up and said it was freezing and not worth it, so I opted not to follow suit.
There is a sand snowman and a sand cow here, but not very visible.
The boys had a great time. As soon as Daniel was sat down on the sand, he crawled as fast as he could toward the ocean and had to be nabbed. He settled for sitting in a hole in the sand that filled with water, eating sand and sucking on shells.

Joey's family and Katy's family hadn't seen each other in two years, so we really wanted to get together. The Ellsworths had been sick all week, and didn't want to spread germs, so we decided to just meet at a park near their home and bbq hamburgers. Some of them really were sick, but it was nice to have a little bit of time together.

Looks like a great weekend. Jackson and Daniel are getting so big! I wondered if you were able to get together with Katy's family, I'm glad it worked out!
